China and India both share a long history of business relation spanning more than thousand years. As we enter the 21st century, the relations between China and India have seen a tremendous progress, especially in terms of trade, the annual trade figures have climbed to 75 billion dollars. responding to the Chinese trend of going out and also for their own expansion needs, more and more chinese enterprises are coming to India which has a strong market of 1.2 billion people. The Chindia chamber of commerce and industry was thereby established as a response to this trend.
The Chindia chamber of commerce and industry provides a comprehensive, multi level service to enhance the relations of Chinese and Indian companies, and to also help in understanding the social, economic and business environment of the Indian corporations. Under the joint efforts of the Council and the general members, the chamber of commerce and industry continues to grow and has become an important platform for chinese companies to fulfill the going out trend, and to also provide the bridge and the link for the rapid development of the Sino-Indian economic and trade relations, not to forget the attention and recognition of both the chinese and Indian governments, business communities and groups.
With the in depth development of domestic enterprises and Sino-indian economic relations, the chamber of commerce has also ushered into new opportunities and challenges. I believe that with the support of the council and the general membership, the chamber of commerce will achieve better results.
